Amel Tounsi

CEO, Bridge 2 Health

Amel is a scientist with Immunology and cellular biology background, experienced in cell therapy development from R&D to clinical phase, Business Development and Company Development strategy. Continuous learning and training on the Managerial and Entrepreneurial aspect of the Biotech Industry is her drive.

Amel holds a PhD in Biopharmaceutical Sciences from the University Louis Pasteur. She started her career in Germany at the German Cancer Research center (DKFZ) in 2009, then moved back to Belgium in the cellular therapy field at Celyad and Catalent for 10 years. From 2018 to 2020 she was the COO of TEXERE Biotech a company developing and running automated production lines for tissue processing in clean rooms.

In 2019, she completed her training with an EMBA from the Solvay business school before joining the biotech investment managers team at Noshaq in 2021.

Since 2022, Amel is leading Bridge 2 Health, the Life science ecosystem back bone structure.

The fight for talents has been raging for a few years now, especially with regards to very specialized profiles destined to fill in the more and more demanding requirements of the industry.

During this discussion, we will focus on recent academic and post graduate programs to create or further develop the talents of tomorrow, along with new initiatives that are carried out in our country.

We will also hear what were the approaches to capture and incorporate the needs of the industry to get a perfect match between the industry and future candidates.
