Session:

From the rehabilitation center to the market : the successful entrepreneurial journey of a physiotherapist (in French)

Location Einstein ABC Room Start / end time 9:40 am to 10:00 am

In 2014, Geoffroy Dellicour modified a classic quadripod cane into a quadripod cane with wheels in order to optimize the rehabilitation of his patients. Three years later, following the encouraging results of a first clinical study, positive feedback from test patients and his fellow therapists, Geoffroy Dellicour reduced his physiotherapy working time and became an entrepreneur. His goal: design, manufacture and market his invention to benefit the greatest number.

One year and a half later (June 2018), the Wheeleo cane, a medical device, was launched on the market.

By the end of 2019, more than 300 devices had been sold. Used in most of Walloon hospitals and in many French and Luxembourg centres, the Wheeleo is also used at home as well as in nursing home.

This presentation will be given in French.
