Session:

When a physiotherapist creates a new mobility aid and decides to market it to benefit the greatest number

Location Einstein ABC Room Start / end time 9:50 am to 10:10 am

In 2014, Geoffroy Dellicour modifies a classic quadripod cane into a quadripode cane with wheels to optimize the rehabilitation of his patients. Three years later, following the encouraging results of a first clinical study, positive feedback from test patients and fellow therapists, Geoffroy Dellicour reduced his physiotherapy working time to become an entrepreneur. His goal: design, manufacture and market its invention to benefit the greatest number.

A year and a half later (June 2018), the Wheeleo cane, a medical device, arrives on the market.

By the end of 2019, more than 300 devices were sold. Used in the majority of Walloon hospitals and in many French and Luxembourg centers, it is also used at home and in nursing home.
