Caroline Sage

Senior Manager Digital Enabled Health, PwC

Caroline is an experienced professional, combining experience in academia, pharmaceutical industry and medical devices She is intrigued by the different ways in which technology and data can accelerate R&D&I, and virtualize health care, and has spent most of her career on the crossroads of research, technology and care.

Her key areas of interest include the (re-)use of health data and digital endpoints, and how this can be facilitated by creation of appropriate frameworks, infrastructure and governance. Moreover, she further expanded her expertise in digital health by taking on a product owner role in a start-up medical device company, further broadening her insights into what it takes to bring digital health solutions to the market.

At PwC, she currently leads the Digital Enabled Health team, which focuses on how digital health can successfully be leveraged in research, clinical trials and care settings.

Let’s reflect on the current situation in Belgium to determine if it is indeed or not yet a fertile ground for medical technologies innovation.

With the cross view of companies leaders and other stakeholders, we will discuss the elements that are contributing or missing to further promote a Belgian MedTech Valley. We will also get some insights from abroad examples and inspiration from the pharma valley.

The open discussion with the panel members will lead to call for actions and provide food for thoughts to pave the way for an even brighter future.
