MTMU 2017 Highlights

150+ attendees – 12 inspiring presentations – 10 exhibitors

On March 23, 2017 we held the first edition of the MedTech Meetup in Brussels. Our goal was to bring together main actors of the Belgian Medical Devices ecosystem in order to share experiences, to network but also to promote the overall know-how and take pride in what can be achieved in our small country ; “Medical Devices in the spotlight” or how to shed the rightful emphasis on one of the Belgium finest industries.

153 people answered the call, among whom the CEO of an academic hospital, directors of SME’s and associations, two health clusters from Flanders and Brussels, entrepreneurs and many other professionals and students from ULB, VUB, UCL, ULg.

For this first edition, we wanted to explore the political framework and to focus on the medical device development journey from the research to the market access. Have a look at the full program here.

The exhibition of sponsors and entrepreneurs drew a lot of attention and gave the participants the opportunity to meet services providers and learn more on innovative products that will hit the market in the coming years (3D printing, VR, …).

We had a great day full of discoveries, learnings, discussions and sharing with people as passionate as we are. And that was the whole point of the MedTech Meetup!

Today we are excited to renew the experience and we are doing our best to make a great success of it once again!

Looking forward to seeing you on March 22, 2018!
